The Larimer Senior Group’s First Field Trip to Phipps Conservatory (2019)
From 2017-2025, the Larimer Senior Group and artist John Peña collaborated on a series of public art projects. They met for a monthly luncheon at The EECO Center in Larimer, where they enjoyed good food and fellowship while brainstorming new project ideas and planning field trips around the city. In response to the pandemic in 2020, Peña and the seniors created “The Larimer Times” Newsletter. This full-color printed document chronicled the lives of the seniors through first-person storytelling and vivid photography.
